Dear ABSH Member School,
International School Tegucigalpa (IST) proudly hosted the 2012 ABSH Art Fair. This year´s theme was “Friends of the
eARTh“. Via art, our goal is to conserve and appreciate the natural beauty of the world and inspire our students to
think, believe and create a better future for our planet.
This two day event includes workshops on Friday afternoon and the traditional competition on Saturday morning.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday, March 23rd : 11:00 AM OPENING CEREMONY
12:00 PM WORKSHOPS (students and adults)
3:00 PM DISMISSAL
Saturday, March 24th : 7:30 AM REGISTRATION
8:00 AM COMPETITION
11:30 AM AWARDS CEREMONY
Students are invited to display previously made artwork in an exposition. Each piece must be labeled according to
the attached guidelines. The deadline to submit exposition pieces is Friday, March 16th
The Workshops will be categorized by age level and IST will provide the materials. Once all workshops are defined,
additional information will be sent. There will also be workshops for accompanying parents and school staff. For the
actual competition, students must bring their own supplies and materials to create their works of art. .
For planning and organizational purposes, a preliminary registration is requested to be received by February 10,
2012. The student names will not be required until Friday, March 9, 2012 at which time the participation fee of Lps.
500 per school plus an additional Lps. 50 per participating student must be deposited to International Nursery
School at Banco de Occidente: #1-424-000010-9. Please fax or scan copy of deposit slip.
The rules and regulations for the art fair are attached in the pdf file . Judges will be local Honduran artists who will judge according
to the ABSH standards.
